Richard Pieprzak is a passionate financial educator and trusted advisor to private clients and group retirement plan members. His goal is to help people make better financial decisions by raising the bar on financial literacy.

In 1988 Richard embarked on his career with one of Canada’s largest stock brokerage firms. In his rookie class, he was encouraged to build his practice by “hunting whales”. It wasn’t long before Richard realized that it wasn’t these high net worth investors that needed his help. Rather, it was those who were trying to build their nest eggs. So, in 1996, after joining Manulife Wealth Inc., Richard started to focus his business development efforts on these “nest egg builders”.

Unfortunately, Richard’s realization has been confirmed on too many occasions. Many people are inadequately prepared for life after work and fail to plan for this eventuality. To change this by improving the financial literacy of those he meets has become his career mission.

To do this responsibly requires a commitment to constantly raising one’s own level of knowledge.  Richard has demonstrated this commitment through various courses completed and books read and he considers himself to be a life-long student in the disciplines of retirement, investment and financial planning. While he may not have the answer to every question asked of him, Richard surrounds himself with other experts in such areas as taxation and law to round out his knowledge team.

In his free time, Richard enjoys touring on his motorcycle and learning how to become a better fly fisherman, photographer, husband and dad.

Courses Completed and Designations Awarded

Richard has consistently worked to expand his credentials and knowledge base for the benefit of his clients.  The following list of courses completed and designations earned is evidence that he continues to hold himself to a higher standard of qualification than is required.  It also shows he remains committed to the industry he is a part of and to the individuals and families he serves.

In this regard, Richard will continue to pursue additional educational and professional development opportunities in order to add to the analytical toolbox that allows him to better serve those who depend on him.

All courses completed and designations awarded through the Canadian Securities Institute (csi.ca) except where noted.
